Roots & Wings Foundation has generously provided substantial financial support for our Red Caboose Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund allows Red Caboose to provide tuition assistance to 80% of enrolled families. Roots & Wings is a family foundation established in 2019 by Judy and Gordon Faulkner. Roots & Wings makes grants across the fields of healthcare, early childhood, basic needs, and human rights. The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that help low-income children and families reach their full potential through prevention, early intervention, and in-depth programming that changes lives. Harriet N. Brown who spent an entire year observing Red Caboose. Her engaging and thought-provoking book, “The Good-Bye Window, A Year in the Life of a Day-Care Center”, published by The University of Wisconsin Press, is the story of that year.
